Dawn Surname

Dawn is an experienced CQC and HCPC-registered and regulated Breast Consultant Radiographer with many years working within the NHS. Her clinical role consists of performing breast ultrasound and biopsy, reporting on mammograms, clinical breast examination, and taking a clinical history - to name just a few aspects of her role. Since gaining her BSc in 1998, followed by an MSc in Medical Imaging in 2008, she has worked in the UK and travelled and worked abroad, including for charity.

She has spent the majority of my career working within both the Symptomatic services and the National Health Service Breast Screening Programme (NHSBSP) in a number of hospitals in the UK, including Imperial College and St Bart’s, the Jarvis centre in Guildford, and - closer to her home location - at Broomfield hospital Chelmsford, and Colchester hospital, undertaking procedures such as clinical breast examinations, breast ultrasounds and biopsies, film reading, and other procedures requiring breast pathology diagnosis.  

She has also worked for a charity medical mission in Ghana, and spoken internationally on several occasions. This has been as far afield as USA, Africa, and closer to her home in Finland! She is warm and approachable with good communication skills.
